What are you passionate about personally?
Singing. I am decent enough at it and it brings me so much happiness. That being said, I 100% come across as a crazy person when I'm always singing, humming, and whistling. I really should learn an instrument...
If you could have dinner with one person -- dead or alive -- who would it be?
Hunter S. Thompson, indubitably. Ideally, it would be around the time that he covered the Kentucky Derby, but sans-LSD (though, frankly, I don't think he'd oblige).
What is your favorite app or website?
The Hype Machine (hypem.com) is a site that aggregates all the music that the hipster blogs are buzzing about and compiles them into a playlist. I actually pay $5/mo to support them because I like to support smaller organizations. My last favorite indie music site, WeAreHunted, was bought by Twitter, turned into Twitter Music, and then was shut down. I'm still angry about it despite the fact that it's been years.
Where do you want to travel, but have never been?
My dream is to surf and ski on the same day in New Zealand or Australia.
What do you want to be remembered for?
I would love to be an elected official someday. The level of corruption and ignorance that we see in politics causes a lot of people to be apathetic, demoralized, and downright averse to civics. Not me. There are some people in politics that inspire me and remind me that not all politicians are "evil."
