Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation (ALSF) shares the vision of it’s founder and creator, Alexandra “Alex” Scott—a cure for all children with cancer. When Alex, who was diagnosed with childhood cancer just before her first birthday, was four, she told her parents she wanted to set up a front-yard lemonade stand. Her plan: to give the money to doctors to help them find a cure.
Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation continues the mission of that four-year-old girl, helping to organize fundraising events and raise funds and awareness for pediatric cancer nationwide.
Last week, Wilton resident Jeff Snyder learned that he had been selected to assume a position on ALSF’s board of directors, a choice that Snyder describes as a “complete honor.” Jeff founded Inspira with the mission of using its profits and its employees’ expertise to help further pediatric cancer research.
